Ryuuichi

He frowned, but he didn't attempt to counter any further- this person was interesting, the way he thought ... "... The sun's beginning to set- I'm afraid that signals our departure, doesn't it?" He questioned as he glanced at the coloring sky, before looking at Peng again through pretty amber eyes hidden beneath silver lashes. "Until we meet again, young Soldier- and thank you for the suggestion-" He held up his basket, filled with strawberries. "I hope you come to the Shrine some time ... I'm sure the Kamisama would enjoy hearing from you." With that, he turned to leave.

Peng:

"Anytime, Shirokawa-san." Peng said, bowing slightly to the Priest even though he had already turned his back. "I hope you and your wife enjoy the strawberries, and, if I find the time, I might stop in at the Shrine. I did enjoy walking and talking with you." Then the young man turned slightly, so that he could start heading down a path that would eventually lead to the palace. He probably should check a few things. Though part of his mind was still on the conversation that he had had with the other man as he continued on.

Ayame

Ah, another day- a rather boring day, wasn't it, being stuck at the brothel under strict supervision ... it's likely that it would be this way for a while, wasn't it? Until he 'learned' not to run off without permission, anyways ... And so the man who looked prettier than a maiden, tipped his head back, gazing up at the blue, blue sky. He'd just finished with a customer, though luckily, he hadn't been in the 'mood', simply requesting that he be sat with and conversation be held over tea ... Those things- those kinds of things, Ayame didn't mind, not in the least, especially when they were kind to him. He occasionally got those who were unkind, and it was disheartening, especially when Ayame could do nothing but treat them with hospitality and respect ... And now the young man sat  out in the yard, watching as two bluebirds eagerly made their nests for the impending spring, watching them with quaint affinity sparkling within those shimmering eyes of his.

Ryuuichi

"Now, now, my love- please do not strain yourself too much, I'll take care of everything." He smiled at the young woman, round and plump, about ready to burst any day now- and he cooed to her very kind words inside of their home behind the Shrine, padding out of the quaint building and up to the front, where several customers had come to pay their respects ... Ryuuichi approached them, standing off to the side with his head down as they were in silent prayer, ready to greet them, and to thank them, as they went to leave.

Huang:

The older man slowly walked the paths that led to his destination. He attracted looks from many of the people that he passed, but he ignored them. Huang could only assume that they knew who he was- at least some of them. Let the rumors spread. He thought as he stopped in front of a building that he had never once been in, but had heard many things about. Huang was about to step inside the adobe, but then his eyes caught the sight of the person he came to see. So he turned on his heel and walked towards the beauty that seemed to just be waiting for nothing. "Ayame-chan." He said, bringing the others attention to himself.

Peng:

The young man stood up once the prayer was over and he watched in some puzzlement as the others started to walk away. Normally, if he prayed - which he often found himself doing - he never did it with anyone around. Of course it was normally a short little prayer, but it was still a prayer. Almost as soon as his eyes followed after a couple, his eyes landed on the man that was thanking them for coming. Peng made his way over to the priest in hopes of talking to him once more, but he decided to hang back as other people decided to leave the Shrine; requiring the mans attention more than he did.

Ayame

"Oh!" The young man's head lifted and shot around, gaze landing upon the figure of Huang, and a smile lifted his features in quiant surprise. "Owyang-san!" He said in a light exclamation, rising to his feet and padding over to the other male with an eager grin. "... What are you doing here?" Just as the question was imposed, there was a screech from inside of the building, followed by the clattering of a few items, and mass amounts of swearing- a merchant came barreling past the gates in that moment, a man in disheveled kimono throwing things at him as he left, long black hair mussy and make-up a bit smudged. It was Ayame's senpai, looking young, despite being just over thirty-five. It seems as if it was another man, trying to do ... Unacceptable things to him- Kyouko was one of the'seniors' in the brothel, and he had certain permissions over the juniors that many didn't have ... And as the male went to retreat back into the brothel, he cast a glance at Ayame and the stranger ... Narrowed his eyes, and slipped away.

Ayame ignored him, turning back to Huang. "I'm surprised to see you ... But happy- what brings you here?"

Ryuuichi

He bowed gingerly to the other men as they padded through, murmuring his thanks and exchanging a few polite words with them, before standing straight once more; he saw Peng off to the side, and he smiled a charming smile, padding in his direction. His fellow soldiers glanced in their direction, curious, before they headed off. "Peng-san." Ryuu greeted him with a formal bow.

Huang:

He raised his eyebrows at the display, but he looked back at the person in front of him when he heard his voice. "I came here too see you, Ayame-chan." Huang said simply, looking at the feminine male that had drawn him out of the comforts of the palace."Is there another reason for me to be here?"

Peng:

"Shirokawa-san." The dark haired youth said, bowing in return. There was a smile etched on his face as he looked at the other. "Are there always this many people in the Shrine?" He asked, his voice filled with something akin to wonder. Then Peng looked around as if a thought had struck him, and he looked back at the priest somewhat sheepishly; the look replacing what wonder there was. "You're not too busy, I hope?"

Ayame

"Well," He murmured, glancing away. "I can think of many reasons." He looked back up at Huang, still grinning immeasurably. Unable to help himself, he leaned forward and embraced the other male in a giddy hug, holding him close, and apologizing for the sudden action, knowing good and well that it was improper, but he was simply unable to help himself.

Ryuuichi

He nodded in response to his first question- "We get visitors very often, whether for sutras to ward way youkai, or for prayers ..." And then, he shook his head; "I'm not all that busy, no. I was simply tending to the gardens out back ..." He paused, before he smiled; "Would you like to come see them?"

Huang:

He tensed up a little bit at the sudden contact, but he relaxed soon after and quickly assured that other, "It's fine. And, despite there possibly being many reasons for me being here, I came to see you and that is that." The raven pulled away from the others embrace and looked at him. "Are you perfectly alright? Those children that came to fetch you the other day seemed to speak as if punishment was in order. Are you well?"

Peng:

At first he was startled by the question - that much could be shown by his wide eyes - but then a smile slowly spread across his face; pleased by the offer. "I would, actually." Peng said, giving a small nod to accompany his grin. "Thank you, Shirokawa-san." Then, as if an afterthought, he added, "Only if you're sure, though. I don't want to intrude."

Ayame

He looked up at Huang, a bit startled by the question. "O-oh ..." He suddenly turned sheepish. "Er- Kyouko-senpai dished out the punishment directly- though I might be a full-fledged entertainer now, he's still in charge of me, after all ..." And whatever Ayame did reflected on the other male's teachings. Ayame had been drenched in ice water and then lashed with a bamboo stick several times across the back, and as a further result, was made to stay on premisis under close watch and supervision until he was judged worthy to be left alone ... And Ayame explained this to the Consort, thinking it no big deal- it had happened enough in the past, what was one more time in comparison? It was a common punishment among escorts and meiko alike.

Ryuuichi

He smiled some, touching him on the back gently, prodding him to move forward, before the arm slipped to his side once more, and he silently began walking in the very direction he'd nudged Peng. Of course he was sure. He wouldn't have offered, otherwise.

Huang:

As he listened to the young man in front of him speak, he found himself growing slightly horrified. Did this happen often? Huang honestly hadn't put much thought into what happened with... with people who went into work such as Ayame did. "He shouldn't have done that to you." The raven murmured, looking at the other; his lips curling down slightly to show his displeasure at what he had heard. "He had no right, as you did nothing wrong." Though he knew that was not quite true. After all, if the man owned Ayame then he could do whatever he pleased- right or wrong, it didn't matter. However, Huang couldn't help but feel that it was wrong to treat Ayame in such a manner.

Peng:

A small, pleased smile was still planted on his face and Peng started to walk forward as well; quickly catching up with the other. "Thank you." Peng said, brushing a strand of dark hair out of his face. It had been a while since he had actually set foot in a garden, and he was truly grateful for the chance to do so once again. And he couldn't help the pleased feeling that spread as he set foot in the place that the priest spent a lot of his time(or he assumed, since he said that he had taken over most of his wifes' duties).

Ayame

"Oh," He brushed off the other male's comment with a wave of the hand: "It's a common punishment; it's not as if it's a big deal, nor is it of any import. It is what it is, and that's all. Kyouko-senpai was beaten like that if he did something terribly wrong, and so was the man before that, and the one before that."  With that, there was a delicate shrug, the silk of his kimono fluttering with the action. He ran his fingers through his long, silken hair, looking up at the other male- he was going to say something again, when his face suddenly paled and a look of realization came across ihs pretty features, and he took a few steps back. "Oh, kamisama, Owyang-san, you shouldn't be speaking to me- it's not allowed on these grounds, you shouldn't be speaking to me for free, at your leisure, not here .. I don't want either of us getting in trouble-.

Ryuuichi

As he led the male to the gardens, he was silent, merely gazing ahead, having nodded at the younger male's offer of thanks. He passed by the shrine- pausing to glance inside, and seeing his wife curled up and asleep, he smiled, before proceeding onwards- not nly was it full of flowers on one side, but all around were a various array of ripe-smelling vegetables. It was no wonder he didn't head to the market all that much.

Huang:

The older man looked taken aback for a moment, not quite expecting an outburst like that from Ayame. However, he soon understood, in a way. His face fell back into it's natural position; his features seeming to radiate calm. Though he did quirk an eyebrow at the other before speaking, "So, what you're saying is that I have to pay to speak with you?" Which, he supposed he could understand as well, though he also found it slightly ridiculous. Though he wouldn't argue with it- it wasn't his place to do so. "Because if I must I will."

Peng:

"Wow," The teenager murmured, his voice coming out quiet as he took in their surroundings. His eyes were wide as he looked at the flowers and to the vegetables. There was a vast variety. Not many people dared to plant as much- only those who felt that they needed it to provide for their families. "You must put a lot of work into this." Peng said, tearing his eyes away from the flowers and letting them land on the priest once again.

Ayame

"We're not only here for fornication, Owyang-san- we're here to entertain, be that to talk, to preform, to serve tea, or even to sell our virtues, you must understand- and Kyouko-senpai saw us; I can only imagine ..." He began to fret, chewing on his nails- then the other male's words seemed to hit him, suddenly, realization. "W-wait, you would ... Pay for me? Oh no, I couldn't let you do that! What would people say, think? You're clearly no letcher, but rumors would spread like wildfire, please, I don't want you hurting yourself." He may have sounded melodramatic, but it was only because he truly, truly cared. He paused, glancing towards the door, as if very-well expecting Kyouko, or the man they called "Oniisan" (the brothel's owner) to come poking around and scolding any second.

Ryuuichi

"Oh, yes. We've put quite a bit of hard work into this ... We sell our vegetables down at the marketplace when we must .... Otherwise, we keep everything else." He went over to Peng, standing proudly next to him, strange yellow eyes glimmering with excite and glee. "It's one of our most prized posession ... Or second most, next to the Shrine-- well, pethaps our third, now that we have a child on the way."

Huang:

"Oh, please," Huang said, waving away Ayame's words. "Rumors are only that. They're only words. True or no, they can't hurt me. Besides, I enjoy your company, so why would I not?" He spoke with a certain clarity; how he always seemed to speak. "Now," He carried on, still looking at the younger. "Who must I talk to then?"

Peng:

"It's easy to see that you treasure it." Peng said, leaning forward to get a closer look at a plant that was just about ready to flower. "Your child will love growing up here, I feel." He murmured, before straightening up, but still observing through his dark eyes. "Just seeing how much you both cherish this garden show how much you'll cherish your child. A gentle nature for a gentle soul, after all." The last statement was close to rambling, but, to him, it truly did mean something.

Ayame

ANd yet despite his words of reassurance, Ayame hesitated, flinching as if he were to move, but remaining in his spot. He shouldn't have to pay for me ... He thought it rue and regret, before eventually sighing. He nodded, and inclinded gingerly, before turning and leading the other male into the brothel. "Right this way, Owyang-san ..." He murmured, and began to his lead to 'oniisan'.He rapped upon the wooden doorstop, standing before his paper door and when his servant rolled it open, Ayame stepped to the side, revealing Huang to the man, and the man to Huang. He was a good-looking man, well kept, and with short black hair that was salt-and-peppered ... He appeared, perhaps, to be in his mid-forties, if not a little older. This was 'Oniisan' ...Takashirou Hoinbou, was his real name; when he finally passes away, he will choose an entertainer to take his place as 'oniisan' ... Given that Kyouko is not bought by a Danna by then, it's likely that he would be chosen. "Oniisan ..." Ayame had, through the entire process, ended up in a low kowtow on the ground, his long hair hiding his face from view. "We have a buyer ..."

Ryuuichi

"Hm ..." No, he could sense it, the sincerity in his voice ... "I'd like to apologize for yesterday," He murmured; "It was incredibly rude of me, to judge your beliefs in such a manner and take offense when none was given." He had done some thinking about it the night previous, and he considered that, to an extent, Peng was right- anyways, people were free to themselves, he could do whatever he damn well pleased, isn't that right? Ryuu looked at him with strange amber eyes.

Huang:

"Sir," Huang said, meeting the other mans eyes before bowing. It was only respectful, after all, though he had not missed the look that had come into the others gaze. "I find myself interested in purchasing this young man." He said, gesturing to Ayame. "How much would I have to pay for his time?" Granted, he had not done anything that resembled this before, but he was sure he couldn't offend the other. Or, so he hoped.

Peng:

"Oh, urm." The young man stammered, clearly caught off-guard by what Ryuuchi had had to say. "No, it's fine." Huang said, composing himself quickly, as he was used to doing. He gave a small smile to accompany the words. "You have no need to apologize. There's a good chance that I spoke out of turn anyway, so I wouldn't worry about it."

Ayame

"The youngr male listened to the transaction as it occurred between them, suppressing the shiver that rippled down his spine. Since it was his first time at the brothel, 'Onnisan' gave Huang a 'discount', half-off the original price for Ayame, which was still incredibly expensive. Not all of the entertainers here were so expensive. Namely Kyouko, Ayame, and another by the name of Iruka ... Those whose mizuage sold at a high price. They were saught-after, expensive, and highly desired. Ayame glanced up from the ground, only to bow his head once more as Onnisan looked towards him.

Ryuuichi

"Hm .." He reached firward, ruffling the other male's hair gently, before retracting his hand and stepping further into the garden, fingertips running along the silken flower petals there, before he moved over to the vegetables. He paused, looking back at the younger male. "Would you like one? A radish? Or perhaps a sweet onion ... We have plenty."

Huang:

"Thank you." The dark haired male said, bowing once again to the man he had just been bargaining with before taking his leave. "Let's go." Huang murmured to Ayame, and waited a moment to make sure that he was following before he slowed so that they could walk side by side. "You're not cheap, are you?" He murmured, looking at the younger man seriously. However, his lips quirked upwards in some amusement; to show that he didn't mean anything serious by it. It wasn't like he didn't have the means.

Peng:

"Why not? If you're offering, I'll take a sweet onion." Peng said, eyeing the priest carefully as he ran a hand behind his head, smoothing down his hair to it's normal state. When the vegetable in question was offered, he stepped forward and took it. Raising it to his mouth, he took a bite, giving a hum of contentment.

Ayame

He rose slowly to his feet, bowing deeply at "onnisan", before turning and heading out the door, closing it respectfully behind the both of them. A coy look was hidden behind his long hair- as if he felt selfish for making Huang pay for him, when it was only inevitable in the end ... Because that's how things were. However, a smile played about his lips all the same, followed by childish excite. He brushed after the Consort, only to frown once more at the comment. "... Sumimasen ... I don't make the prices ..." He murmured, sheepish blush on his cheeks; "I told you yesterday that I was sold at a high price for my mizuage ... So that reflects on my price." He explained that his senpai and one other were extremely expensive as well, but they were often bought ... Because they were popular. That was one of the reasons onnisan didn't enjoy it when Ayame ran off- if it looked like one of their most popular ecscorts was running away, then the brothel would be given a bad name ... Ayame led Huang into a room, closing the screen-door behind them, and then brushing over to the window and opening it up, allowing inside some light for sight, and a fresh breeze. "I'm sorry if this makes you feel weird ... But it's against the rules to speak to clients outside of these places ..." He turned to the side, the sunlight dancing off of his delicate brown orbs excitedly.

Ryuuichi

Ryuu reached a hand forward, smoothing his thumb across the corner of his mouth, wiping away a bit of juice. "Don't be messy." He murmured, but it was rather in a coo of endearment ... As if he were a father scolding his child.

Huang:

"That's fine with me." Huang said, observing the room that they were in. It wasn't bad, maybe even a nice in a way. The consort wasn't lying when he said that staying in the room was fine with him, but that didn't mean he felt completely comfortable. After all, this was a new experience for him. Not only was this his first time in a brothel - as much as he hated it, he knew that was what it was - but he normally didn't go out of his way to talk to people. "As long as we may talk in here without you getting in trouble for it, as you don't deserve it; especially for such a petty reason." He took a few steps into the room, looking at Ayame and how the sun made him almost glow.

Peng:

"Hmph." The young man pulled a face at the priest, who only gave a small smile in return to it. Clearly he seemed amused by Peng's antics. "I'll be messy if I feel like it." Though that didn't mean he wanted to be messy. Even though he said this, Peng could feel a tingling sensation where the older had wiped his skin across and his mouth twitched slightly, trying to make that feeling go away. He was trying to be serious, but with his mouth twitching a few times he was sure that he looked silly instead.
